If you have a scrap car, you can make money by selling it. Many auto repair shops are very interested in buying scrap cars as they need some parts in the cars that they can sell or reuse. The car's body can also be destroyed then recycled into metal. Many car owners who have scrap cars might be giving up on their cars. Most scrap cars are those made before the 90's. However, some car made during the 90's or even after that, can also get poorly damaged in certain circumstances, such as car accident. The body might be rusty if it is an old car, or badly damaged in an accident, and the engine might be old and does not work properly anymore. Fixing or replacing some of the broken machine parts costs a lot of money. The interior might be damaged as well and even the seats are no longer comfortable. The CD player or the air conditioner no longer works and all they do are making annoying sounds and blowing hot air. Your favorite ride soon becomes an unwanted vehicle.

If you are considering selling it, it may hurt your feeling how low people are going to buy it, or that no one wants it at all. Even though it was once a most loved ride that you like to drive it around town, as time flies, it can turn into a car you do not want. The maintenance of your scrap car might be way too expensive and it is better to use the money to buy a new one. It does not matter how bad you are attached to your car, when it comes to figuring out the maintenance cost, especially in this tough economy, a quick solution will always be giving it away to the scrap cars buyers. They will buy your car with a reasonable price, depending on the condition of the parts they want, whether it is still in a good condition or not.

You should show the evidence of the car ownership when giving it away to the buyer, such as the registration license. This is to prove that the car is truly yours and not a stolen one. If you want the car to be valued higher, what you can do is collecting the parts that still can be used and present them to the buyer. That way the buyer will buy the car for higher price.
